Project Background
As a leader in offshore engineering equipment manufacturing, COOEC-Fluor faced challenges including low manual sandblasting efficiency and harsh working conditions at its Zhuhai Deepwater Base during steel structure surface treatment. Hubei Sanjiang Boli customized the SJman Series overhead crane-mounted sandblasting robot, commissioned in June 2024 as China's first autonomous sandblasting robot applied in offshore oil & gas equipment manufacturing.
Technical Highlights
1.12-Axis Precision Control: Multi-axis synchronization enables full coverage of complex curved surfaces, especially effective for large-scale jacket structures, pile legs, and other irregular profiles.
2.Eco-Upgraded Design: Equipped with four-stage dust extraction system maintaining particulate leakage below 5mg/m³ and noise levels under 85dB.
3.Intelligent Path Planning: Automatically generates optimal blasting trajectories from 3D models, boosting efficiency 8-fold versus manual operations.
